The Way Of Light
Creativity: Art & Life
|
Creativity is the spiritual driving force behind all of creation. Creation is the energetic culmination of divine vision into various manifested forms of consciousness. Creation is what we are, where we arise from, and why we create, therefore, who we are is defined by what birthed us into creation; Our Mother and Father in heaven. All the heavens are all around us. They are not up or down, nor to the left or right; but everywhere. In human form we get disoriented into taking our direction from the external world and those who hook us into thinking. If you consider the obvious notions that exist from observing Nature, then one realizes the Earth is spinning and turning and revolving in the heavens, as are all the other planets in our solar system. But like one huge mobile hanging from the ceiling, our galaxy is not hanging anywhere, as it free forms itself in vacuum of heaven (space). There are countless millions of other solar systems in our galaxy, of which all cohabitate with other sentient life forms who are just as creative in their own unique way. our galaxy is but one of countless millions if not billions of others, all existing in an eternal state of Genesis. What is up and down is mostly dependent on the criteria of gravity. In the vacuum of heaven (space) this idea of up and down has little meaning in the bigger scheme of Genesis, of creation, of existence arising in an ongoing expression of Divine Grace.
Creating is what we do with our Being, Being expresses divine inspiration through many forms for many reasons. All of them are for the enjoyment of all; not just for the few. To put a price on creation is a judgment, and therefore limits the expression to a state of thinking, rather than experiencing the fullness of its potential or lack there of. What does that mean? Anyone can create, as there is a base level of creation that allows a person to survive by how well they are connected to their creative muse. However that may be, one is limited to the extent of their dysfunction; their enculturation that teaches them the limitations of function. To be fully functioning is to be fully spiritual.
In order to truly spiritually create, one must be rooted in their Being. For their true creativity to bloom, thrive, and give birth to greater potentials that hibernate, one must free themselves from their cultural imprisonment. Cultural imprisonment is intellectual imprisonment. Why is this so? Because when another denies another to be true to themselves, as long as they are harming no one, then they are imprisoning the other(s) from their own creative imprisonment; spiritual imprisonment. This is the fear that imprisons the creative realms from Being fully present on this planet. What we think of us amazing is nothing short of primitive creative tinkering. We have deluded ourselves into thinking we are Gods/Goddesses, when we are truly in kindergarten. Were we to awaken from our stupor and embrace our Being in love rather than fear, we would ignite with such emanations of creation lighting the darkness of our passage to Being fully in the presence of creating the full spectrum of living color here on Earth.
Fear has a way of limiting, restricting, denying, and judging the creation process. Fear does this because it seeks to impede and imprison creators from expressing their existence. Fear seeks to control and dominate for its own sake, because it resists and denies its own full expression. Self-hatred and self-loathing is its only claim to fame as it seethes with resentment and jealousy of those who seek to express their divine grace. How simple a shift from fear to love would set them free to BE. Fear of not getting what they want; not being good enough; being abandoned; or being hurt. The worst of these is fear of not getting what they want. This need to dominate and control and deceive is the deeply rooted in dysfunction, of which all others arise from.
Understanding creativity through art, offers one the opportunity to learn to reconnect with playing with various mediums or expressions without judgment. Inspiration is a healing process that ignites the creative fires to bring the imagination into alignment with the full spectrum of color; of consciousness; of creation itself. The expression of art allows us to put into words which cannot be spoken, what in some cases cannot be put into a knowable form. Dysfunction creates in its own fashion disharmony that warps creative fields on many levels. This warping is a suppression that limits the full flow of cosmic creation; consciousness.
As children, most were indoctrinated over time into being judged into certain categories of worthiness; mere pittance. The judgment of others became their self-judgments and through this process of self-judgments, lost most if not all of their true creative genius. To live in creative squalor, devoid of any spiritual meaning, cultural meaning took root and changed the living color to black and white; how could it not. Being forced into a black and white creation causes dis-ease in body, mind, soul, and spirit. This is the agenda of Fear. Fear in reality is frightened of love, but the deeper truth is its frightened of its own nature which is rooted in love as well.
Creativity cannot be completely extinguished lest civilization wither away and become extinct. But to exist at such a primitive level of creation has created a great deal of pain and suffering and destruction on many levels. Where once there were many who created in love, many create in fear. We create to make money in order to participate in the game of materialism with the hopes of maybe filling up the empty feeling we have within ourselves. Because of this dysfunction, human beings have become lost in the quagmire of the mind, being policed in appropriate cultural expressions of creation creates more and more stifling prisons.
If we pay attention to what the artists are creating, we can see signs of distress, discontent, but more importantly, cracks appearing in the walls, with doors opening, and portals being revealed amidst the chaotic strokes, movements, materials, colors, sounds, and structures that form shapes of consciousness. Kandinsky spoke about this in his book, The Spiritual In Art. There is a lot of art that is empty or spiritually impotent, or more simply merely black and white versus living color. This may not mean much to some, but once you have a spiritual opening and see the other side, or see the vividness of the spiritual dimension here on this planet, hidden by thinking and believing, you begin the process of waking up through layers upon layers of realizations.
The creation of art in its varied forms and complexities offers us a way out; whether that be from our own artistic expressions or through experiencing another's. We have all been imprisoned and shut down in various ways, so it reasons that each of us will wake up in different ways. What works for one will not work for the other. what may be simple, may not be simple at all, but more sublime in its creative genesis. The most important aspect of art is the doing, the making, the birthing, the frustration, the feelings and emotions that arise in the creative work/play. The blood, sweat, tears, and joy are all seeking to pull and unwind, to extricate and free that which has no need of prison walls.
Love seeks to express itself, to harmonize, to balance, to flow and dance with sheer abandonment. Enculturated art is the challenge of wearing body armor and mask to express this love through the limitations of fear. The more one does art, the more one frees themselves. How one does art is how one lives their life. Art and Fear become Life and Fear. Both are synonymous with the other. Being fearful of expressing one's self with painting, drawing, collages, pottery, printing, dancing, singing, playing instruments, writing music, or making things, is being afraid of life. From my own processes and experiences, it is my understanding that many would gain considerable relief from doing art.
Yet, doing art doesn't guarantee awakening, for one has to move through the creative layers that suppressed your true creative expression. How one does that can be a mysterious process, but can also be an inspirational process, if one is directed and guided to explore certain aspects that may arise in doing art. The process of doing requires attention and one's attention in the present moment is one step of many to identify with the creative process that unfolds from these precious moments that flow outward from within. Being present with art magnifies the creative energies to awaken dormant structures within that are unfrozen by creation itself. This is why I favor non-objective art, abstract art, and creating collages, because spiritual imagery emerges from the position of not knowing or not needing to know what one is going to create, of being totally open to allow soul and spirit move through your body to awaken all that is suppressed within. Only soul and spirit truly know what images, colors, movements, structures will create a reaction, an unfolding of the cocoon that protects the butterfly within.
Doing art is about finding yourself and through art, one creates an inner portal that only the vibrations of color can open the spiritual doors to becoming conscious, to full Being authentic. Most of my artwork reveals this process and this one in particular shows the portal into one's authentic spiritual dimension. The only way to enter is through Being your authentic color vibrations; your authentic vibrations are the only living key that can enter within your own depths. No one else can enter through you. Each has to enter through their own inner portal with their own authentic living color:
Do you seek to open up your own cocoon and spread your wings to fly?
All it takes is the desire for self-acceptance
Being art is a living creative ongoing process based on expressing your authentic self. This authentic Being is non-judgment, peace, unconditional love, compassion, joy, bliss, and ecstasy. Not being art is a barely living non-creative process based on not expressing your authentic self. This unauthentic undoing/unmaking is a process imprisoned by judgments, past/future thoughts, beliefs, fear, guilt, and shame. In unauthentic undoing/unmaking, there is only conditional love and various levels of short-term gratification from some person, place, or thing, with little to no peace, compassion, joy, bliss, or ecstasy. What people "think" peace, love, compassion, joy, bliss, and ecstasy are, is nothing more than a thinking process feigning an imaginary understanding of something thinking cannot know or understand.
That's the deception of fear.
