The Way Of Light
Life & Career |
Many go through life following a script that
was given to them at birth based on their parents lifestyle, religious
teachings, schooling, peer pressure, and a host of cultural messages from various
outlets to include mass media, as to who and what they are. The many are trained
to live rooted in guilt, shame, and fear, forced to abandon one's authentic self
for the slick personality rooted in materialism as the thing that will fill you
up and bring you happiness and success. All of that non-sense lasts for as long
as one is caught up in the glamour of one's false un-authentic self. Some don't
even wake up out of the day to day dreary of fitting in and living out the idea
of intellectual security.
The signs that the fantasy is dissolving is the appearance of pain and
suffering, emptiness, boredom, dissatisfaction, frustration, anger, depression,
animosity and ultimately crisis of differing degrees. When one is young and
finally leaves home for the first time, they are like a kid in a candy store,
quickly devouring this and that, but over time, we all know that too much candy
gives one a belly ache, not to mention tooth aches if were not careful. This
same irony can be applied to material goods and superficial relationships. What
can one do? Life
Changes
There's a lot one can do to begin the journey towards freeing oneself from the cultural imprisonment of conformity. Clearing away the facades and walls is the first order of business to be able to take an authentic inventory of what authentic passions are. This takes time and perseverance to explore and make sense of by accessing feelings rather than intellectual contexts. Often, one's sense of self is tied up in the job title, the large salary, the glamour of the position or being in the lime light or the amount of toys or how big the house is or a host of other socially accepted abnormalities that denote one's sense of self via their accomplishments. Dissatisfaction is always presenting itself, hence the need for more...
But, for those who are seeking change and wanting to be more in alignment with their authentic selves, and are unsure how to go about doing that, there are lots of ways to recover what was yours at birth. The good news is the authentic self is still there untarnished and untainted. Your authentic Being is merely waiting for your conscious awareness to embrace and express what has always been within you. Everyone came with their own path to follow and the path is just waiting for you to step into your authentic self and become conscious.
Spirit knows where all the open doors are in the walls of conformity. Spirit knows the walls are an illusion, so of course, the way out of the mess is to become conscious of the lies and the false intellectual constructs that box one into the patterns and beliefs of limitation. The creative force of spirit knows no bounds or limitations. So, your challenge and homework is to become aware of the non-sense you have been believing that limits your abilities and senses to know thyself and your creative gifts to express your divine self into the world. This is really simple, though the hard part is breaking the trance that would have you believe otherwise. Learning how to discern between the truth and the lies is where the challenge lies, begins, and ultimately ends in authentic triumph.
Your life can be full of joy, ecstasy, bliss, and abundance when you take that first step to become conscious! One has to realize that it took years to make oneself unconscious, limited, and imprisoned in guilt, shame, and fear. With proper awareness and divine truth, one can become conscious a lot quicker than it took to get unconscious. All the answers you need are within yourself. My part in this journey is to assist you in finding your answers.
Your life is your work of art. Either you express your authentic creative ideas or you express the cultural ideas. Your life is not yours until you get rid of the fear. Your life is full of interwoven aspects all creating the false self. If you make changes in one area it effects others, sometimes minutely, other times drastically. Waking up is a process that can start out slowly or perhaps suddenly open up like a volcano erupting; the spectrum of possibilities depends on numerous conditions. Each person learned to suppress their awareness in different ways that worked for their particular situation.
The typical person coming to me expects this process to be simple and quick. Waking up is the most challenging thing you will ever have to do, second to the first challenging thing you had to do, which was to become unconscious. The process of awakening requires an awareness that something is not working or not right. The leap from the limited known into the unlimited unknown requires taking a step to begin the path of self-discovery, of your likes/dislikes, passions, desires, attitudes, beliefs, fears, feelings, emotions, avoidances and judgments.
Exploring these areas within yourself is the excavation work, the digging into the earthiness that leads to the deeper realms where your Being is very much alive. There are many things one can do from reading, writing, expressing through art mediums, doing collages, making masks, meditation, dream work, being in Nature, fasting, pattern recognitions, tuning into feelings/emotions, noticing reactions (fear), and noticing judgments. While this sounds pretty simple, I can assure you each one in and of itself is a full-time job. The good news is the more you become conscious, the more you integrate these tasks/abilities until you do them effortlessly as you do breathing.
Each person is fully aware on a deeper level of the issues they are ready to face and that is where their journey always begins. There are steps, levels, dimensions that come alive when they are ready and ripe for blossoming; all in good time. Pain and suffering may not feel like opportunities, but their presence in your life is the wake up call informing you of disharmony and imbalance in your lack of Being. What you do with those opportunities decides whether or not you continue to stay unconscious, or move towards greater freedom through becoming conscious. The decision is always your choice; just be aware of what is making the unconscious choices to stay unconscious...
