"Reflections of Self"
I
thought it was a dream at first.
It
was difficult to see the reality.
I
was surrounded with fear and denial.
The
pain worsened, I struggled, I screamed.
Through
the fog I saw a mirror.
In
that mirror I saw myself,
for
the first time, genuine, shy, innocent.
My
curiosity got the best of me.
I
continued to stare in fascination.
As
I watched, I felt myself change.
I
soon mirrored the reflection in the mirror.
When
I realized and accepted what had just happened,
I
was finally at peace within.
I
walked into the mirror and became one
with
what I had always been.
One
in spirit, mind, and body.
